ABOUT US

Established in 2005 by Chef Alex Friedman and nightclub DJ Keiran Neely, P’cheen International Bistro & Pub has become an Atlanta staple. From their award winning globally-inspired cuisine to their nation-spanning cocktail list to their always hopping late-night DJ scene and art openings, this establishment is as hot now as it was when it first opened.

Friedman and Neely not only brought a brand new style of casual dining to Atlanta, but opened it in what would become one of the city’s newest and hottest neighborhoods; Old Fourth Ward. The storefront at the corner of Highland Avenue and Sampson Street near Inman Park in Atlanta was transformed into a restaurant with intriguing worldly appeal.

International urban legend met contemporary new-school courage in a wood finished interior with aged light fixtures. A place where rustic charm meets modern service, preparation and design. A spot where weary workers and upbeat scenesters could find themselves intertwined sipping on fine ales and quality affordable wines discussing the way of the world in a warm and inviting setting where nightfall brings shadow-steeped, candle lit dining.

The partners were then pioneers of the gastro-pub phenomenon in Atlanta. Elevated and elegant bar food with locally sourced fresh ingredients prepared by classically trained culinarians capable of thinking outside of the box.

The concept of P’cheen not only embraces the idea of international cuisine, but also seeks a diverse clientele. We have always prided ourselves on hosting one of the most diverse groups of guests. One of the most exciting components of what makes P’cheen such a great place to visit and stay for more than just dinner is our lounge. Furnished with comfy armchairs and decorated with rotating local art, it is a place to meet friends, plan a group event or just chill with a book or laptop.

After dinner, P’cheen features Atlanta’s best DJs who play a broad and diverse collection of musical styles. Our DJs spin 5 nights a week. Call for details.

MOONSHINE!

When the Scots and the Irish came to the Appalachian Mountains, they brought their music, their dancing and their whiskey making. Long before it was called moonshine, it was called….P’cheen.

Every age-old culture has its version of this ancient spirit and there is no coincidence that an international restaurant would lend its name from a local phenomenon that has its roots all over the world.

The idea that America is a melting pot of cultures has been embraced. P’cheen is a diverse melting pot of cuisines, cultures and most importantly, people.

Here at P’cheen we serve the very best selection of craft moonshines, including locally sourced varieties, house infusions and a diverse range of native international styles such as grappa, absinthe and calvados.

BONE-LICK BBQ

Served only on Mondays from April-December, P’cheen is transformed into a completely different “pop-up” style BBQ concept.

What started out as an experiment has turned into an institution.

In a 2010 survey of every BBQ restaurant in the state of Georgia, our once a week BBQ was ranked #4 in the state and the best in the city. Starts at 6pm and is served until it runs out, usually by 9pm. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, homemade sausages and a weekly internationally themed special are served with 4 traditional homemade sauces.
